At the beginning of the school holiday season, Mérida Tourism Corporation (Corrector) develops in 11 states across the country a promotional campaign that aims to show the qualities tourist offers the population the state of Merida.
This campaign is called “Merida Your Best Destination”, promotes five tourist areas of that entity: historic, wilderness, villages south of the state of the Andean and Metropolitan lines and Monodies.
The states where this strategy is developed for promotion are Barinas, Carabobo, Capital District, Falcón, Lara, Monagas, Táchira, Trujillo, Portuguesa and Zulia.
Corrector president, Gonzalo Tarzana, said the purpose of this plan is to attract more tourists to visit the city of Merida during the holiday season.
“Merida is a city that offers tourists a variety of spaces and activities for healthy recreation. It also has (services) national and international cuisine which, coupled with a modern transport system such as the Trolley, provides an excellent choice for vacationers to enjoy their vacations, “said Tarzana.
He reported that Corrector has developed a thematic journal with detailed information for vacationers on these five tourist areas.
This is compounded by a team of 100 tour guides have been trained jointly by Coeur and Joint Tourism Fund Merida state, who are tasked to inform and guide vacationers about the different spaces that are being promoted.
Tarzana said that now is all the conditions, both in the area of infrastructure and in health, to welcome vacationers this holiday season to choose as its destination state of Merida.
